It's Getting Greener
I just wanted to share the good news with all our supporters, partners, and funders.
The Coal Avenue Commons project in Gallup, New Mexico is close to wrapping up design and being "shovel-ready".
To that end, the Project has received the following awards toward construction:
(1) Legislative Capital Outlay = $677,000 (Senators Munoz and Pinto; Representatives Lundstrom and Johnson)
(2) Municipal Arterial Program (MAP) = $950,833 (NMDOT and District 6) which comes with a local match requirement.
(3) City of Gallup Local Match = $316,944
We are targeting New Mexico MainStreet for the last piece of funding needed to make this a reality.
But we just want to thank the Mayor and Council, City staff, and the community of Gallup for going big with this vision to transform and catalyze downtown Gallup, and for everyone that believed in us enough to invest money, time, and support! This project has followed the parable of Stone Soup, and the soup is starting to smell really, really good.
